FOUNDER

Hello! My name is Charlotte Serrano I was born in Ponce and raised in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. As a mother, my child has always been my top priority, and being a mom means the world to me. I understand the importance of being a beacon, role model, and cheerleader for my child, just like any parent aims to be. However, I also had my own dreams that I wanted to fulfill.

I have enjoyed a successful career as a professional dancer, achieving top-five rankings three times in the World Salsa Cabaret Championships from 2007 to 2016. I've had the privilege of dancing for renowned artists such as Snoop Dogg during his 2016 tour, as well as Don Omar, Akon, and Natti Natasha at the 2012 Latin Billboards. Currently, I work as a choreographer, dance teacher, Airbnb host, tour guide, and fitness enthusiast. The traditional nine-to-five employee lifestyle does not suit me.

With two decades of experience in the dance industry, television, and the competitive world of professional services, I've gained invaluable expertise. Furthermore, I was part of the dance cast of “Sábado Gigante” from 2000 to 2012, one of the most-watched programs in the Spanish-speaking television and entertainment industry. As a member of the “Sábado Gigante” dance cast, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of artists, including Tito el Bambino, Fanny Lu, Gloria Trevi, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Melina León, Romeo Santos, among others. I also served as a host and TV presenter, honing my skills as a bilingual (Spanish and English) emcee and master of ceremonies in the entertainment world. On another note, I also have experience working on Public Service Announcements and covering events as a correspondent or reporter in Spanish.

My contribution to the world of dance goes beyond being part of the dance cast of artists or programs. I am the pioneer in the Salsa Cabaret category, becoming the first Salsa dance couple to incorporate lifts and aerial tricks into professional and world-level Salsa dance competitions. This achievement allowed me to obtain the title of three-time world Salsa champion, highlighting my excellence in dance.

In addition to my dance career, I have ventured into various fields of interest. These include social work, DNA counseling, HIV recreational therapy, support coordination, community and artist teaching, on-air talent, video editing, TV hosting, substitute teaching, behavior intervention therapy, payroll coordination, solar energy consulting, and fitness sales.

My academic journey has taken me through various experiences over the years.

I embarked on my academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from La Salle University in Philadelphia.

I furthered my commitment to education by gaining certification from the Artist Teacher Institute Professional Development at Rutgers University in New Jersey, which broadened my expertise.

I pursued 12 semester credits in Business Administration at Phoenix University in Miami, with the idea of completing a master's degree. Unfortunately, life had other plans for me, and I was unable to finish my master's.

In 2012, I moved to New York in my second attempt to complete a master's degree. Although I didn't achieve my original purpose, I acquired 24 master's level credits from NYU, providing me with valuable knowledge in the field of dance education.

In 2022, after two previous unsuccessful attempts and ten years later, I finally completed a significant milestone by obtaining a Master's degree in Digital Marketing at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico. This accomplishment equipped me with essential skills for managing marketing campaigns, enhancing online visibility, and optimizing websites.

Simultaneously, during the same year, I accomplished a remarkable feat by earning certification as a tour guide from ICPR College, completing a rigorous 400-hour training program.

In 2023, I registered with the Department of Recreation and Sports of the Government of Puerto Rico as a Salsa Instructor. I am actively working towards obtaining certification as a Recreational Leader for the Elderly next year, underscoring my commitment to education and community engagement.

My accomplishments as a dancer were significant, but the limited career span of a dancer and my aversion to the traditional 8-to-5 job raise the question of what's next. This spurs the idea for CLIXPIN, born from the need for a centralized platform that not only serves my freelance needs but also caters to fellow entrepreneurs. Aiming to provide secure and well-organized hosting for income-generating services, extending beyond my personal requirements. As I delve into creating CLIXPIN, I set aside my academic and entertainment industry background, and I embrace the role of an Uber driver to generate income with a flexible schedule. It was during this time that the concept of Salsa Tours PR was born.

While I transport tourists from one place to another, more people ask me the same question over and over. What else do you do besides being an Uber driver? I always share with them a bit about my career as a dancer and how passionate I am about returning to Puerto Rico after 25 years in the United States. To enjoy the weather, the beaches, my culture, and my family. It's these passengers who motivate me to create a concept where I can share all of this with them and generate income at the same time.

This transition marks my journey from an Uber driver to an entrepreneur, offering both income and the desired flexibility. I continue developing CLIXPIN, which, in fact, was already under development for the past 2 years, and from there, Salsa Tours PR, was born, founded in 2019 with the vision of sharing a unique blend of outdoor activities, culture, cuisine, music, and dance in Puerto Rico. Transforming this concept into a reference point in the tourism industry, offering travelers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the charm of our island in an authentic and exciting way.

After 4 years, CLIXPIN is a reality, ready for all merchants interested in creating an online store. So, if you've ever wondered how to establish an online store, generate passive income, and do so on a resource-rich platform without an upfront investment, look no further. CLIXPIN is the ideal solution, bridging the gap between entrepreneurial aspirations and reality. It's a guarantee from a woman who's dedicated countless hours to this project, someone who wishes success and, above all, happiness for all. The journey continues, and the future is bright.
